Submersible Pumps

Flygt submersible pumps can be installed in large-capacity circular wet wells primarily designed to help reduce environmental impacts that have resulted from CSOs. Four Flygt CP3351s (800 hp, 4,160-VDC) 15-mgd adjustable speed pumps were installed in a 215-ft-deep, 60-mgd-capacity pumping system for the city of Columbus, Ohio. The system consists of multiple pumps handling flows to dewater the tunnel within two days of a large flow event. The city, which was facing a CSO problem, combined sound engineering with this equipment to deliver solutions addressing issues for decades to come.
