Development of the Nutrient Source Assessment was funded in part through a grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency, administered through the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). Funding for development of the San Jacinto Nutrient Management Plan was provided in part through an agreement with the SWRCB pursuant to the Costa-Machado Water Act of 2000 (Proposition 13) and any amendments thereto for implementation of California’s Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program. The authors would also like to thank the following people for their contributions to these studies: Dr. Cindy Li and Hope Smythe of the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board; Steve Clark, Steve Stump, and Tom Rheiner of the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District; Pat Kilroy of the City of Lake Elsinore; Bruce Scott of the Riverside County Farm Bureau; David Morycz of Eastern Municipal Water District; John Borges of Western Dairyman’s Association; Pat Boldt of the San Jacinto River Watershed Council; Jim Gilmore of the San Jacinto Basin Resource Conservation District; and James Grimm of the City of Canyon Lake Property Owners Association.
